Fellow members and friends of the Buumon Buddhist Temple in Port Arthur, Texas:
Do you ever wonder what's going at the Buddhist Temple when you're not around. Please take a look at just a glimpse of what has been accomplished in year 2010 because of the leadership of the monks, the labor provided by volunteers both members and friends of the temple, and your monetary donations.
To be proud of excellent work well done is not to be boistrous or bragging. It's a satisfaction of knowing you are receiving the merit of good deeds presently done. In that spirit you should take pride in any part large or small that you've taken to support the beautification efforts of this temple. The temple needs your help. We need carpenters, painters, stone masons, electricions, artists, landscapers, roofers, jacks of all trades. Really we need everyone. So if you have some free time on your hands, consider spending some at the Buumon Temple in Port Arthur. If you can drive a nail, push a paint roller, operate a skill saw, or even brew tea, then we need you. As we enter year 2011 lets get together the entire community to carry on the momentum of year 2010.

Here are a few images current as of about August 2010. What's not shown in the photos above is the new monks private dining area and other odds and ends to many to list. So come back to the website often for updates.
With loving kindness in our hearts, greatful blessings to all,
