Bhante Kassapa Bhikkhu was honored to have been invited to attend and to give the World Peace Prayer at this year’s 7th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church. The dinner held November 23, 2009 was attended by various clergy representing the different religious organizations in the Southeast Texas area as well as some of their congregational members.
It is my understanding that Bhante Kassapa Bhikkhu’s prayer was well received by those in attendance and most fitting for our contemporary times. Please take a moment to read Bhante Kassapa’s ”Buddhist Prayer for Peace For All World Leaders and All Nations”
Compassion does not belong to one faith
It belongs to all.
Love is not the possession of one faith
It is the teachings of all.
May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings…….
